DataPrint® is a novel, precise flatbed inkjet printing system for multicolour printing under eloxal on aluminium. The height-adjustable vacuum table (up to a height of 40 mm) permits printing on most distinct materials with varying substrate thickness.
The flexible four-fold print head and ink-feeding system makes a rapid change of print head possible for the application of various ink types.
A precise and exact re-positioning of the printing material is a useful function. As a consequence, a defined and accurately positioned print, even on mechanically finished work pieces, is easily possible. |

Precise reference pins, which are mechanically and pneumatically controlled, are available as an option.
Mantel’s team of technicians have invested time and effort to perfect the direct printing into the aluminium-oxide layer. The ink is directly printed into the oxide film and captured within the metal by the subsequent sealing process. This in turn closes the pores again and optimally protects the surface against all kinds of scratches and ravages. |

The aluminium oxide film is made in a sulphuric acid electrolyte with DC current applied. The film formation occurs evenly on the entire surface area of the work piece and is firmly fixed on the metal base thanks to its growth.
With the final sealing in hot water, the printed material receives excellent corrosion resistance.
After the sealing of the aluminium, the final print exhibits remarkably good characteristics. These include: resistance to atmospheric corrosion and solvents, chemical resistance, abrasion-proof, light fastness; and anti-grafitti capability.
The artistic possibilities are virtually unlimited. The functionality of the finished product now permits the creation of photo-realistic images for information and navigation boards and sign posts. Front panels, housings, measuring devices, industrial and electronic components, labels with sequential numbering and EAN codes - all of these may be made economically, even in small lot sizes. |

Data preparation is supported by our special DataPrint® System RIP and Print control via dedicated system software with a range of special functions.
The flexible DataPrint® print head and ink feeding system allow for using different ink systems based on water and solvents, dyed or pigmented, for printing on most diverse substrates.There are almost unlimited possibilities when printing on materials such as: foils, fancy panels, plastics, textiles, coated materials and even glass. Depending on the chosen machine, Dataprint® can print on surface areas from 480 x 780 to 1800 x 2950 mm at a resolution of 720 x 720 (1440) dpi with a repetitious accuracy of +/- 0.02 mm.
Standard light barriers, with integrated self test, supervise the work space. This ensures the required security.
DataPrint® is a global innovation for a wide variety of uses. These can be customised to individual client requirements. |
